Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
- General Requirements
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in accordance with the following guidelines prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not adhere strictly to these formatting and structural requirements will be returned to the authors without undergoing the peer-review process.
- Font and Spacing: The main body of the manuscript must be typed using Cambria, 12 pt, justified alignment, and 1.5 line spacing.
- Paragraph Formatting: The first line of each new paragraph must be indented by 1 cm. Do not add extra spacing between paragraphs (0 pt before and after).
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in proper, grammatically correct Academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.
- Manuscript Structure
Title
- The title must be provided in both English and Indonesian.
- Strict Length Requirement: The title must consist of exactly 12 words (no more, no less).
- Formatting: Use Cambria font, 14 pt, Bold.
Author Information
- Include the full names of all authors (e.g., Primary Author 1, Secondary Author 2).
- Provide the primary affiliation and country for each author.
- Identify the Corresponding Author and provide a valid email address.
Abstract
- The abstract must be provided in both English and Indonesian.
- Strict Length Requirement: The abstract must contain exactly 150 words (no more, no less).
- Formatting: Use Cambria font, 10 pt, justified, single-spaced (1.0).
- Content: The abstract must comprehensively encapsulate the background of the problem, the urgency or significance of the research, the research methods employed, the principal findings, and the conclusion.
Keywords
- Provide 3 to 5 keywords or phrases in both English and Indonesian.
- Formatting: Use Cambria font, 9 pt, italicized. Keywords must be separated by semicolons (;) and arranged alphabetically, ending with a period (.).
- Main Text Sections
Introduction (Background)
- Purpose: Elaborate on the rationale for the study. Discuss the importance of the research, theoretical reviews, or conceptual frameworks.
- Literature Review: This section must outline 3 to 5 prior relevant studies, explicitly stating the differences between previous research and the current study to highlight the scientific novelty.
- Structure: Conclude the introduction with a brief statement regarding the research findings.
Problem Formulation (Perumusan Masalah)
- Formulate the research questions or main problems in paragraph form. This section serves as the analytical framework that will be addressed in the subsequent sections.
Research Method (Metode Penelitian)
- Note: This section is mandatory for original research articles but optional for conceptual papers.
- Describe the methodology using a descriptive narrative style. Provide a clear and replicable overview of the methods, materials, and analytical frameworks utilized in the study.
Discussion and Analysis
- Detail the research results and discuss them comprehensively based on the chosen methodology.
- The analysis must be systematically aligned with the sequence of legal or theoretical issues outlined in the problem formulation.
- Any theories introduced in the theoretical framework must be actively cited and applied within this section.
- Headings: Sub-headings and sub-sub-headings should be clearly formatted and numbered sequentially to organize the issues discussed.
Conclusion (Kesimpulan)
- Format: The conclusion must be written in a single paragraph containing a maximum of 4 sentences.
- Content: Provide a concise answer to the research objectives. Do not simply restate the abstract or list the results. Offer a clear explanation regarding the practical applications, implications, or recommendations arising from the research findings.
- Tables and Figures
- Tables: Must use an "open model" design (horizontal lines only; no vertical lines).
- Table titles must be placed above the table (e.g., Table 1. Number of Constitutional Court Decisions).
- Figures/Images: Must be of high quality, clearly readable, and have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) to ensure optimal print quality.
- All tables and figures must be cited within the text and include a valid source attribution at the bottom.
- Citations and References
- Reference Manager: All citations and the bibliography must be managed using Mendeley Reference Manager.
- Citation Style: Submissions must strictly adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note) format.
- In-Text Citations: Citations must be formatted as footnotes.
- References List: The bibliography must be arranged alphabetically by the authors' last names. Ensure all sources cited in the footnotes appear in the References section, and vice versa.
- Copyright and Open Access Policy
Articles published in this journal are fully open access. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to publish under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC BY-SA). Copyright remains with the authors.
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
