Copyright for articles published in the Journal of State Democracy is retained by the author(s). Authors grant the Journal of State Democracy a license of first publication.

2. Article Licensing

All articles published by the Journal of State Democracy are made immediately available worldwide under an open access license. Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

This license permits users, researchers, and practitioners to:

• Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercially.

• Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially.

The licensor (the author) cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the user follows the license terms.

3. License Terms

Users must adhere to the following terms:

• Attribution (BY): Users must give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the Journal of State Democracy (citing the journal as the original source of publication).
